| CVE-2024-7543 | 1 Ofono | 1 Ofono | 2024-08-06 | N/A |
| oFono SimToolKit Heap-based Buffer Overflow Privilege Escalation Vulnerability. This vulnerability allows local attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected installations of oFono. An attacker must first obtain the ability to execute code on the target modem in order to exploit this vulnerability. The specific flaw exists within the parsing of STK command PDUs. The issue results from the lack of proper validation of the length of user-supplied data prior to copying it to a heap-based buffer. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to execute code in the context of the service account. Was ZDI-CAN-23456. | ||||

| CVE-2024-5953 | 1 Redhat | 3 Directory Server, Enterprise Linux, Rhel Eus | 2024-08-06 | 5.7 Medium |
| A denial of service vulnerability was found in the 389-ds-base LDAP server. This issue may allow an authenticated user to cause a server denial of service while attempting to log in with a user with a malformed hash in their password. | ||||
| CVE-2013-3245 | 1 Videolan | 1 Vlc Media Player | 2024-08-06 | 6.3 Medium |
| plugins/demux/libmkv_plugin.dll in VideoLAN VLC Media Player 2.0.7, and possibly other versions, allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (crash) and possibly execute arbitrary code via a crafted MKV file, possibly involving an integer overflow and out-of-bounds read or heap-based buffer overflow, or an uncaught exception. NOTE: the vendor disputes the severity and claimed vulnerability type of this issue, stating "This PoC crashes VLC, indeed, but does nothing more... this is not an integer overflow error, but an uncaught exception and I doubt that it is exploitable. This uncaught exception makes VLC abort, not execute random code, on my Linux 64bits machine." A PoC posted by the original researcher shows signs of an attacker-controlled out-of-bounds read, but the affected instruction does not involve a register that directly influences control flow | ||||

| ChopUpSingleUncompressedStrip in tif_dirread.c in LibTIFF 4.0.9 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (heap-based buffer overflow and application crash) or possibly have unspecified other impact via a crafted TIFF file, as demonstrated by tiff2pdf. | ||||
| CVE-2021-47548 | 1 Redhat | 5 Enterprise Linux, Rhel Aus, Rhel E4s and 2 more | 2024-08-04 | 9.8 Critical |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ethernet: hisilicon: hns: hns_dsaf_misc: fix a possible array overflow in hns_dsaf_ge_srst_by_port() The if statement: if (port >= DSAF_GE_NUM) return; limits the value of port less than DSAF_GE_NUM (i.e., 8). However, if the value of port is 6 or 7, an array overflow could occur: port_rst_off = dsaf_dev->mac_cb[port]->port_rst_off; because the length of dsaf_dev->mac_cb is DSAF_MAX_PORT_NUM (i.e., 6). To fix this possible array overflow, we first check port and if it is greater than or equal to DSAF_MAX_PORT_NUM, the function returns. | ||||
| CVE-2022-48844 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2024-08-03 | 5.5 Medium |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: hci_core: Fix leaking sent_cmd skb sent_cmd memory is not freed before freeing hci_dev causing it to leak it contents. | ||||
| CVE-2022-48743 | 1 Redhat | 5 Enterprise Linux, Rhel Aus, Rhel E4s and 2 more | 2024-08-03 | 4.4 Medium |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: amd-xgbe: Fix skb data length underflow There will be BUG_ON() triggered in include/linux/skbuff.h leading to intermittent kernel panic, when the skb length underflow is detected. Fix this by dropping the packet if such length underflows are seen because of inconsistencies in the hardware descriptors. | ||||
| CVE-2022-48632 | 1 Redhat | 1 Enterprise Linux | 2024-08-03 | 5.5 Medium |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: i2c: mlxbf: prevent stack overflow in mlxbf_i2c_smbus_start_transaction() memcpy() is called in a loop while 'operation->length' upper bound is not checked and 'data_idx' also increments. | ||||
| CVE-2023-52834 | 1 Redhat | 1 Enterprise Linux | 2024-08-02 | 4.4 Medium |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: atl1c: Work around the DMA RX overflow issue This is based on alx driver commit 881d0327db37 ("net: alx: Work around the DMA RX overflow issue"). The alx and atl1c drivers had RX overflow error which was why a custom allocator was created to avoid certain addresses. The simpler workaround then created for alx driver, but not for atl1c due to lack of tester. Instead of using a custom allocator, check the allocated skb address and use skb_reserve() to move away from problematic 0x...fc0 address. Tested on AR8131 on Acer 4540. | ||||
| CVE-2023-52796 | 1 Redhat | 1 Enterprise Linux | 2024-08-02 | 4.4 Medium |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipvlan: add ipvlan_route_v6_outbound() helper Inspired by syzbot reports using a stack of multiple ipvlan devices. Reduce stack size needed in ipvlan_process_v6_outbound() by moving the flowi6 struct used for the route lookup in an non inlined helper. ipvlan_route_v6_outbound() needs 120 bytes on the stack, immediately reclaimed. Also make sure ipvlan_process_v4_outbound() is not inlined. We might also have to lower MAX_NEST_DEV, because only syzbot uses setups with more than four stacked devices. | CVE-2023-52764 | 1 Redhat | 1 Enterprise Linux | 2024-08-02 | 4.4 Medium |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: gspca: cpia1: shift-out-of-bounds in set_flicker Syzkaller reported the following issue: UBSAN: shift-out-of-bounds in drivers/media/usb/gspca/cpia1.c:1031:27 shift exponent 245 is too large for 32-bit type 'int' When the value of the variable "sd->params.exposure.gain" exceeds the number of bits in an integer, a shift-out-of-bounds error is reported. It is triggered because the variable "currentexp" cannot be left-shifted by more than the number of bits in an integer. In order to avoid invalid range during left-shift, the conditional expression is added. | ||||
