CVSS v3.1 |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
media: lgdt3306a: Add a check against null-pointer-def
The driver should check whether the client provides the platform_data.
The following log reveals it:

| IEEE 1609.2 dissector crash in Wireshark 4.2.0, 4.0.0 to 4.0.11, and 3.6.0 to 3.6.19 allows denial of service via packet injection or crafted capture file |
| A vulnerability in the DHCPv6 relay agent of Cisco NX-OS Software could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to cause a denial of service (DoS) condition on an affected device.
This vulnerability is due to improper handling of specific fields in a DHCPv6 RELAY-REPLY message. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a crafted DHCPv6 packet to any IPv6 address that is configured on an affected device. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to cause the dhcp_snoop process to crash and restart multiple times, causing the affected device to reload and resulting in a DoS condition. |
| Azure RTOS USBX is a USB host, device, and on-the-go (OTG) embedded stack, that is fully integrated with Azure RTOS ThreadX. An attacker can cause remote code execution due to memory buffer and pointer vulnerabilities in Azure RTOS USBX. The affected components include functions/processes in pictbridge and host class, related to PIMA, storage, CDC ACM, ECM, audio, hub in RTOS v6.2.1 and below. The fixes have been included in USBX release 6.3.0. Users are advised to upgrade. There are no known workarounds for this vulnerability. |
| In onNullBinding of TileLifecycleManager.java, there is a possible way to launch an activity from the background due to a missing null check. This could lead to local escalation of privilege with no additional execution privileges needed. User interaction is not needed for exploitation. |
| An issue was discovered in gpac version 2.3-DEV-rev588-g7edc40fee-master, allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code, cause a denial of service (DoS), and obtain sensitive information via null pointer deference in gf_dash_setup_period component in media_tools/dash_client.c. |
| cJSON v1.7.16 was discovered to contain a segmentation violation via the function cJSON_SetValuestring at cJSON.c. |
| A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's ksmbd, a high-performance in-kernel SMB server. The specific flaw exists within the handling of SMB2_LOGOFF commands. The issue results from the lack of proper validation of a pointer prior to accessing it. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to create a denial-of-service condition on the system. |
| Transmit requests in Xen's virtual network protocol can consist of
multiple parts. While not really useful, except for the initial part
any of them may be of zero length, i.e. carry no data at all. Besides a
certain initial portion of the to be transferred data, these parts are
directly translated into what Linux calls SKB fragments. Such converted
request parts can, when for a particular SKB they are all of length
zero, lead to a de-reference of NULL in core networking code.

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
tee: amdtee: fix an IS_ERR() vs NULL bug
The __get_free_pages() function does not return error pointers it returns
NULL so fix this condition to avoid a NULL dereference. |

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net/mlx5e: Fix netif state handling
mlx5e_suspend cleans resources only if netif_device_present() returns
true. However, mlx5e_resume changes the state of netif, via
mlx5e_nic_enable, only if reg_state == NETREG_REGISTERED.
In the below case, the above leads to NULL-ptr Oops[1] and memory
leaks:
mlx5e_probe
_mlx5e_resume
mlx5e_attach_netdev
mlx5e_nic_enable <-- netdev not reg, not calling netif_device_attach()
register_netdev <-- failed for some reason.
ERROR_FLOW:
_mlx5e_suspend <-- netif_device_present return false, resources aren't freed :(
Hence, clean resources in this case as well.

| An issue was discovered in Fort before 1.6.3. A malicious RPKI repository that descends from a (trusted) Trust Anchor can serve (via rsync or RRDP) an ROA or a Manifest containing a null eContent field. Fort dereferences the pointer without sanitizing it first. Because Fort is an RPKI Relying Party, a crash can lead to Route Origin Validation unavailability, which can lead to compromised routing. |
| Joda Time v2.12.5 was discovered to contain a NullPointerException via the component org.joda.time.format.PeriodFormat::wordBased(Locale). NOTE: this is disputed by multiple third parties who believe there was not reasonable evidence to determine the existence of a vulnerability. The submission may have been based on a tool that is not sufficiently robust for vulnerability identification. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
wifi: wfx: fix possible NULL pointer dereference in wfx_set_mfp_ap()
Since 'ieee80211_beacon_get()' can return NULL, 'wfx_set_mfp_ap()'
should check the return value before examining skb data. So convert
the latter to return an appropriate error code and propagate it to
return from 'wfx_start_ap()' as well. Compile tested only. |
