CVE-2024-21896 1 Redhat 1 Enterprise Linux 2025-02-13 7.9 High
The permission model protects itself against path traversal attacks by calling path.resolve() on any paths given by the user. If the path is to be treated as a Buffer, the implementation uses Buffer.from() to obtain a Buffer from the result of path.resolve(). By monkey-patching Buffer internals, namely, Buffer.prototype.utf8Write, the application can modify the result of path.resolve(), which leads to a path traversal vulnerability. This vulnerability affects all users using the experimental permission model in Node.js 20 and Node.js 21. Please note that at the time this CVE was issued, the permission model is an experimental feature of Node.js.

CVE-2024-0985 2 Postgresql, Redhat 7 Postgresql, Enterprise Linux, Rhel Aus and 4 more 2025-02-13 8 High
Late privilege drop in REFRESH MATERIALIZED VIEW CONCURRENTLY in PostgreSQL allows an object creator to execute arbitrary SQL functions as the command issuer. The command intends to run SQL functions as the owner of the materialized view, enabling safe refresh of untrusted materialized views. The victim is a superuser or member of one of the attacker's roles. The attack requires luring the victim into running REFRESH MATERIALIZED VIEW CONCURRENTLY on the attacker's materialized view. Versions before PostgreSQL 16.2, 15.6, 14.11, 13.14, and 12.18 are affected.
CVE-2023-5369 1 Freebsd 1 Freebsd 2025-02-13 7.1 High
Before correction, the copy_file_range system call checked only for the CAP_READ and CAP_WRITE capabilities on the input and output file descriptors, respectively. Using an offset is logically equivalent to seeking, and the system call must additionally require the CAP_SEEK capability. This incorrect privilege check enabled sandboxed processes with only read or write but no seek capability on a file descriptor to read data from or write data to an arbitrary location within the file corresponding to that file descriptor.
CVE-2023-52076 1 Mate-desktop 1 Atril 2025-02-13 8.5 High
Atril Document Viewer is the default document reader of the MATE desktop environment for Linux. A path traversal and arbitrary file write vulnerability exists in versions of Atril prior to 1.26.2. This vulnerability is capable of writing arbitrary files anywhere on the filesystem to which the user opening a crafted document has access. The only limitation is that this vulnerability cannot be exploited to overwrite existing files, but that doesn't stop an attacker from achieving Remote Command Execution on the target system. Version 1.26.2 of Atril contains a patch for this vulnerability.
CVE-2023-42501 2 Apache, Apache Software Foundation 2 Superset, Apache Superset 2025-02-13 4.3 Medium
Unnecessary read permissions within the Gamma role would allow authenticated users to read configured CSS templates and annotations. This issue affects Apache Superset: before 2.1.2. Users should upgrade to version or above 2.1.2 and run `superset init` to reconstruct the Gamma role or remove `can_read` permission from the mentioned resources.
CVE-2023-28724 1 F5 3 Nginx Api Connectivity Manager, Nginx Instance Manager, Nginx Security Monitoring 2025-02-13 7.1 High

CVE-2023-38497 3 Fedoraproject, Redhat, Rust-lang 5 Fedora, Devtools, Enterprise Linux and 2 more 2025-02-13 7.8 High
Cargo downloads the Rust project’s dependencies and compiles the project. Cargo prior to version 0.72.2, bundled with Rust prior to version 1.71.1, did not respect the umask when extracting crate archives on UNIX-like systems. If the user downloaded a crate containing files writeable by any local user, another local user could exploit this to change the source code compiled and executed by the current user. To prevent existing cached extractions from being exploitable, the Cargo binary version 0.72.2 included in Rust 1.71.1 or later will purge caches generated by older Cargo versions automatically. As a workaround, configure one's system to prevent other local users from accessing the Cargo directory, usually located in `~/.cargo`.

CVE-2023-0181 6 Citrix, Linux, Microsoft and 3 more 6 Hypervisor, Linux Kernel, Windows and 3 more 2025-02-13 7.1 High
NVIDIA GPU Display Driver for Windows and Linux contains a vulnerability in a kernel mode layer handler, where memory permissions are not correctly checked, which may lead to denial of service and data tampering.
CVE-2021-3981 3 Fedoraproject, Gnu, Redhat 3 Fedora, Grub2, Enterprise Linux 2025-02-13 3.3 Low
A flaw in grub2 was found where its configuration file, known as grub.cfg, is being created with the wrong permission set allowing non privileged users to read its content. This represents a low severity confidentiality issue, as those users can eventually read any encrypted passwords present in grub.cfg. This flaw affects grub2 2.06 and previous versions. This issue has been fixed in grub upstream but no version with the fix is currently released.
