| INVT VT-Designer PM3 File Parsing Type Confusion Remote Code Execution Vulnerability. This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected installations of INVT VT-Designer. User interaction is required to exploit this vulnerability in that the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file.
The specific flaw exists within the parsing of PM3 files. The issue results from the lack of proper validation of user-supplied data, which can result in a type confusion condition. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to execute code in the context of the current process. Was ZDI-CAN-25723. |
| Delta Electronics DRASimuCAD STP File Parsing Type Confusion Remote Code Execution Vulnerability. This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected installations of Delta Electronics DRASimuCAD. User interaction is required to exploit this vulnerability in that the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file.
The specific flaw exists within the parsing of STP files. The issue results from the lack of proper validation of user-supplied data, which can result in a type confusion condition. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to execute code in the context of the current process. Was ZDI-CAN-22414. |

| Browser is affected by type confusion vulnerability, successful exploitation of this vulnerability may affect service availability. |
| decNumberCopy in decNumber.c in jq through 1.7.1 does not properly consider that NaN is interpreted as numeric, which has a resultant stack-based buffer overflow and out-of-bounds write, as demonstrated by use of --slurp with subtraction, such as a filter of .-. when the input has a certain form of digit string with NaN (e.g., "1 NaN123" immediately followed by many more digits). |
| An issue was discovered in Mercedes Benz NTG (New Telematics Generation) 6. A possible type confusion exists in the user data import/export function of NTG 6 head units. To perform this attack, local access to the USB interface of the car is needed. With prepared data, an attacker can cause the User-Data service to fail. The failed service instance will restart automatically. |
| An issue was discovered in the GPU in Samsung Mobile Processor Exynos 1480 and 2400. Type confusion leads to a Denial of Service. |
| in OpenHarmony v5.0.3 and prior versions allow a local attacker cause apps crash through type confusion. |
| in OpenHarmony v5.0.3 and prior versions allow a local attacker cause apps crash through type confusion. |
| Dreamweaver Desktop versions 21.4 and earlier are affected by an Access of Resource Using Incompatible Type ('Type Confusion') vulnerability that could result in arbitrary code execution in the context of the current user. Exploitation of this issue requires user interaction in that a victim must open a malicious file. |
| In checkKeyIntent of AccountManagerService.java, there is a possible way to bypass intent security check and install an unknown app due to a confused deputy. This could lead to local escalation of privilege with no additional execution privileges needed. User interaction is not needed for exploitation. |
| Type Confusion in V8 in Google Chrome prior to 131.0.6778.264 allowed a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code inside a sandbox via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: High) |
| Type Confusion in V8 in Google Chrome prior to 131.0.6778.204 allowed a remote attacker to potentially exploit heap corruption via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: High) |
| Type Confusion in V8 in Google Chrome prior to 131.0.6778.108 allowed a remote attacker to potentially exploit object corruption via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: High) |
| Type Confusion in V8 in Google Chrome prior to 131.0.6778.139 allowed a remote attacker to potentially exploit heap corruption via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: High) |
| A Type Confusion vulnerability was found in Samba's mdssvc RPC service for Spotlight. When parsing Spotlight mdssvc RPC packets, one encoded data structure is a key-value style dictionary where the keys are character strings, and the values can be any of the supported types in the mdssvc protocol. Due to a lack of type checking in callers of the dalloc_value_for_key() function, which returns the object associated with a key, a caller may trigger a crash in talloc_get_size() when talloc detects that the passed-in pointer is not a valid talloc pointer. With an RPC worker process shared among multiple client connections, a malicious client or attacker can trigger a process crash in a shared RPC mdssvc worker process, affecting all other clients this worker serves. |
| IrfanView DXF File Parsing Type Confusion Remote Code Execution Vulnerability. This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected installations of IrfanView. User interaction is required to exploit this vulnerability in that the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file.
The specific flaw exists within the parsing of DXF files. The issue results from the lack of proper validation of user-supplied data, which can result in a type confusion condition. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to execute code in the context of the current process. Was ZDI-CAN-22184. |

| In writeTypedArrayList and readTypedArrayList of Parcel.java, there is a possible escalation of privilege due to type confusion. This could lead to local escalation of privilege with no additional execution privileges needed. User interaction is not needed for exploitation. |
