| CVE-2021-20316 | 3 Debian, Redhat, Samba | 8 Debian Linux, Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Aus and 5 more | 2024-11-21 | 6.8 Medium |
| A flaw was found in the way Samba handled file/directory metadata. This flaw allows an authenticated attacker with permissions to read or modify share metadata, to perform this operation outside of the share. | ||||
| CVE-2021-20291 | 3 Fedoraproject, Redhat, Storage Project | 5 Fedora, Enterprise Linux, Openshift and 2 more | 2024-11-21 | 6.5 Medium |
| A deadlock vulnerability was found in 'github.com/containers/storage' in versions before 1.28.1. When a container image is processed, each layer is unpacked using `tar`. If one of those layers is not a valid `tar` archive this causes an error leading to an unexpected situation where the code indefinitely waits for the tar unpacked stream, which never finishes. An attacker could use this vulnerability to craft a malicious image, which when downloaded and stored by an application using containers/storage, would then cause a deadlock leading to a Denial of Service (DoS). | ||||
| CVE-2021-20254 | 4 Debian, Fedoraproject, Redhat and 1 more | 9 Debian Linux, Fedora, Enterprise Linux and 6 more | 2024-11-21 | 6.8 Medium |
| A flaw was found in samba. The Samba smbd file server must map Windows group identities (SIDs) into unix group ids (gids). The code that performs this had a flaw that could allow it to read data beyond the end of the array in the case where a negative cache entry had been added to the mapping cache. This could cause the calling code to return those values into the process token that stores the group membership for a user. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to data confidentiality and integrity. | ||||
| CVE-2020-2830 | 8 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 5 more | 24 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 21 more | 2024-11-21 | 5.3 Medium |
| Vulnerability in the Java SE, Java SE Embedded product of Oracle Java SE (component: Concurrency). Supported versions that are affected are Java SE: 7u251, 8u241, 11.0.6 and 14; Java SE Embedded: 8u241. Easily exploitable vulnerability allows unauthenticated attacker with network access via multiple protocols to compromise Java SE, Java SE Embedded. Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized ability to cause a partial denial of service (partial DOS) of Java SE, Java SE Embedded. Note: Applies to client and server deployment of Java. This vulnerability can be exploited through sandboxed Java Web Start applications and sandboxed Java applets. It can also be exploited by supplying data to APIs in the specified Component without using sandboxed Java Web Start applications or sandboxed Java applets, such as through a web service. CVSS 3.0 Base Score 5.3 (Availability impacts). CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.0/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:L). | ||||

| CVE-2020-2805 | 7 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 4 more | 23 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 20 more | 2024-11-21 | 8.3 High |
| Vulnerability in the Java SE, Java SE Embedded product of Oracle Java SE (component: Libraries). Supported versions that are affected are Java SE: 7u251, 8u241, 11.0.6 and 14; Java SE Embedded: 8u241. Difficult to exploit vulnerability allows unauthenticated attacker with network access via multiple protocols to compromise Java SE, Java SE Embedded. Successful attacks require human interaction from a person other than the attacker and while the vulnerability is in Java SE, Java SE Embedded, attacks may significantly impact additional products. Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in takeover of Java SE, Java SE Embedded. Note: This vulnerability applies to Java deployments, typically in clients running sandboxed Java Web Start applications or sandboxed Java applets, that load and run untrusted code (e.g., code that comes from the internet) and rely on the Java sandbox for security. This vulnerability does not apply to Java deployments, typically in servers, that load and run only trusted code (e.g., code installed by an administrator). | CVE-2020-27216 | 7 Apache, Debian, Eclipse and 4 more | 24 Beam, Debian Linux, Jetty and 21 more | 2024-11-21 | 7.0 High |
| In Eclipse Jetty versions 1.0 thru 9.4.32.v20200930, 10.0.0.alpha1 thru 10.0.0.beta2, and 11.0.0.alpha1 thru 11.0.0.beta2O, on Unix like systems, the system's temporary directory is shared between all users on that system. A collocated user can observe the process of creating a temporary sub directory in the shared temporary directory and race to complete the creation of the temporary subdirectory. If the attacker wins the race then they will have read and write permission to the subdirectory used to unpack web applications, including their WEB-INF/lib jar files and JSP files. If any code is ever executed out of this temporary directory, this can lead to a local privilege escalation vulnerability. | ||||
| CVE-2020-25717 | 5 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 2 more | 28 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 25 more | 2024-11-21 | 8.1 High |
| A flaw was found in the way Samba maps domain users to local users. An authenticated attacker could use this flaw to cause possible privilege escalation. | ||||
| CVE-2020-16166 | 8 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 5 more | 18 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 15 more | 2024-11-21 | 3.7 Low |
| The Linux kernel through 5.7.11 allows remote attackers to make observations that help to obtain sensitive information about the internal state of the network RNG, aka CID-f227e3ec3b5c. This is related to drivers/char/random.c and kernel/time/timer.c. | ||||
| CVE-2020-14323 | 5 Debian, Fedoraproject, Opensuse and 2 more | 6 Debian Linux, Fedora, Leap and 3 more | 2024-11-21 | 5.5 Medium |
| A null pointer dereference flaw was found in samba's Winbind service in versions before 4.11.15, before 4.12.9 and before 4.13.1. A local user could use this flaw to crash the winbind service causing denial of service. | ||||
